Warm-season grass known for its ability to thrive in the hottest, driest, harshest soils and exposures.  But like so many native plants, little bluestem adds rich, subtle beauty to the garden with a prism of color as the foliage takes on summer form--reds, purples, oranges, golds, metallic blues and more.  The feathery seed heads glow a transparent silvery white in morning and late day light well into fall.  Roughly knee-high.  Great plant for places you never want to water--and deer proof!
